The Fordham University’s chapter of Phi Beta Kappa (Tau of New York) is sponsoring a lecture titled “Threat and Response: Saving the World’s Manuscript Heritage from Imminent Danger.”

The Rev. Columba Stewart, O.S.B., is a Benedictine monk at Saint John’s Abbey in Collegeville, Minnesota. Father Stewart, professor of theology and director of the Hill Museum and Manuscript Library, has been involved with the digitization and cataloging of more than 200,000 endangered Christian and Islamic manuscripts in libraries around the world. He is coming to Fordham as a Phi Beta Kappa Visiting Scholar.
