Fordham’s Poets Out Loud (POL) will hold their last reading of the year on Monday, April 20 at 7 p.m., featuring the 2014 National Book Critics Circle Award (Poetry) finalist Willie Perdomo, poet Jordan Windholz, and high school students who have attended workshops this year as part of the POL outreach program.

Perdomo (featured above in a video) is a prize-winning Nuyorican poet and children’s book author whose latest book is The Essential Hits of Shorty Bon Bon (Penguin, 2014). He is also the author of Where a Nickel Costs a Dime and Smoking Lovely, which received a PEN Open Book Award.
