Marymount Sunday Funday: St. Patrick’s Day Celebration
Sunday, March 14, 2021, 3 – 4:30 p.m.
Did you know that the original color of St. Patrick’s Day celebrations was blue? The color shifted to green as early as the 17th century because of Ireland’s nickname, “The Emerald Isle;” the green in the Irish flag; and the color of a shamrock. There are so many interesting facts to learn about this holiday.
Join fellow Marymount alumni and storyteller Brian Nolan, from Galway, Ireland, for a discussion and Q&A about Saint Brigid, the female patron saint of Ireland. There will also be some Irish trivia and other fun planned throughout the program.
Grab a pint of Guinness, a cup of tea, or an Irish whiskey as we connect over Zoom for another Sunday Funday. Wear your green and show your spirit!
Don’t forget to spring your clocks ahead for daylight saving time!
