Nestor Davidson, LAW, professor of housing and land use, and Albert A. Walsh Chair in Real Estate, Land Use, and Property Law; Faculty Director, Urban Law Center, was appointed as the chair of the New York City Rent Guidelines Board (RGB) by New York City Mayor Eric Adams on March 10.
Emanuel Fiano, Ph.D., ARTS AND SCIENCES, assistant professor of theology, published an article in Feb. titled “My Program Is Still Broader Than the Sea”: Gershom Scholem’s Letters to Abraham Joshua Heschel, 1940–1953.
Jeff Gray, M.S., ADMINISTRATION, senior vice president for student affairs, was awarded the Rev. Victor R. Yanitelli, S.J. Award by the Jesuit Association of Student Personnel Administrators (JASPA) Board of Directors. The award is named after JASPA’s first president and is awarded to someone who shows exemplary service and leadership to JASPA and Jesuit student affairs.
Sarit Kattan Gribetz, Ph.D., ARTS AND SCIENCES, associate professor in theology, collaborated with students in her fall semester course “Jerusalem: Jewish, Christian, Muslim Perspectives,” to create an exhibition titled “Gender/Jerusalem, 1800-1970”. The exhibit is located on the fourth floor of the Walsh Family Library, outside the Henry S. Miller Judaica Research Room, on the Rose Hill campus.
Nicholas Milowski, ADMINISTRATION, vice president for finance and assistant treasurer, became a member of the TIAA Advisory Council. The council serves as mission-centric ambassadors and liaisons between TIAA and university employees.

Kathryn Reklis, Ph.D., ARTS AND SCIENCES, associate professor of theology, has been selected as a research fellow for phase I of a new grant project sponsored by the Templeton Foundation: Illuminating Theological Inquiry and Christian Ethics Through Training in Psychological Science. The research proposal is titled “Imagining the World at the Brink of the Planet: the role of images in changing religious subjects’ understanding of climate change and commitment to climate action.”
