Geeta M. Kapadia, ADMINISTRATION, was recognized by the website Chief Investment Officer (CIO) as a 2023 Asset Owner Industry Innovation Award finalist. This award celebrates institutional asset owners who have thrived and been incredible leaders, even as markets have turned rough and inflation and rates have risen. The winners will be announced on Dec 5.
Galina Krasskova, ARTS AND SCIENCES, Ph.D. candidate in theology, displayed seven paintings in a gallery show at the Live4art gallery in Pawling, New York. The show was part of an exhibition sponsored by Riverwinds Gallery and ran through Oct. 30.

Parsing Key Terms and Claims in Laudato Si’,” in Social Sciences on Oct. 2.
Francis Petit, Ed.D, and Liza Wynns, GABELLI SCHOOL OF BUSINESS, led a concurrent session, “Women, The EMBA and the C-Suite,” at the Executive MBA Council (EMBAC) annual conference in Scottsdale, Arizona, on Oct. 2.
Sónia da Silva Monteiro, ARTS AND SCIENCES, Ph.D., candidate in theology, presented the following papers over the summer: “A Phenomenological Investigation of the Revelatory Meanings of the Experience of Forgiveness” at the Phenomenology and Revelation Conference, from Aug. 16 to 19, in New York. She also presented, “A Phenomenological Investigation of the Experience of Forgiveness” at the European Academy of Religion from June 20 to 23, in St. Andrews, Scotland.
Larry Welborn, Ph.D., ARTS AND SCIENCES, professor of theology, presented a paper, “Democracy, Real and Imagined, in Early Christianity and in Greco-Roman Antiquity,” at the 72nd annual meeting of the Colloquium Biblicum Lovaniense in Leuven, Belgium on July 18. He also published on Aug. 15 That There May Be Equality: Paul’s Appeal for Partnership in the Collection, (Lanham: Fortress Academic / Lexington Books, 2023).
