Join us for a memorable evening at the historic New York City Center to enjoy a performance by the renowned Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater and to celebrate the 25-year partnership of the Ailey/Fordham BFA Program at a private reception.
At the pre-performance Fordham reception in the VIP Lounge at New York City Center, Fordham guests will have a special opportunity to meet and hear from special guests from Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater.
Founded in 1958 by Alvin Ailey, this pioneering dance company was established to bring African American themes to the forefront of modern choreography, leaving an indelible mark on the world of dance. Today, Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater is a treasured cultural institution. For 25 years, Fordham University’s Ailey/Fordham BFA Program has contributed to this legacy by training the next generation of innovative dancers.
