IPED Lecture: How Indigenous Knowledge Drives Local Solutions to Global Climate Threats in the Philippines

This lecture featuring Father Pedro Walpole, S.J., will show how Indigenous people work on sustainable solutions.
Father Pedro Walpole S.J., is the global coordinator of Ecojesuit, a worldwide Jesuit ecology advocacy network. He is a research director for the Institute of Environmental Science for Social Change and the coordinator for the River Above Asia Oceania Ecclesial Network (RAOEN). He has spent the last 32 years accompanying the Indigenous Pulangiyen people as they take action to restore lands deforested and water springs disrupted by logging companies.
This event consists of a 35-40 minute presentation followed by a 15-20 minute Q&A session. Free refreshments provided.
