Martyrs for Mother Earth? The Promises and Pitfalls of Maternal Metaphors for Our Common Home
Wednesday, September 24, 6 – 7:30 p.m.

Hundreds of land and environmental defenders from around the world have been murdered for their commitments to care for “Mother Earth.” Join us for an evening with Elizabeth O’Donnell Gandolfo as she invites us to contemplate what these martyrs’ appeals to maternal metaphors for our common home can teach us about the earth, ourselves, motherhood, and the urgency of resisting ecological violence today.
This event is free and open to the public. Registration is required.
