Attend a Signature Fordham Lecture 

As the holder of the McGinley Chair, Thomas Massaro, S.J., examines American society through a theological lens, most notably in two annual lectures. Meritocracy is the subject of his first, which will feature Megan Bogia, Ph.D., assistant director of Fordham’s Center for Ethics Education, in the role of respondent.

Robert J. Parmach, Ph.D., senior director of Ignatian mission and education, helps curate service projects for students and colleagues to give back to our Fordham neighbors. The annual School Supply Service Project provides children living near Lincoln Center with school essentials.

LOL Together

In the comedic play Yellow Face, an Asian American playwright tries to hide a humorous gaffe—mistakenly casting a white actor as the Asian lead in his play. Watch a recording of the 2024 Broadway production, followed by a Q&A with its director, Leigh Silverman, and actor Frances Jue, who won a 2025 Tony Award for his performance.

Meet a Famous Musher

Blair Braverman, a Jewish dogsledder known for her Instagram-famous dogs and competing in grueling races like Alaska’s Iditarod, will be sharing stories with David Gibson, director of the Center on Religion and Culture, about life on the trail.

Enjoy a Concert with Colleagues

Senior Arabic Lecturer Mohamed Alsiadi, Ph.D., is a virtuoso on the oud, a lute-like instrument that he plays in the Aleppo Ensemble. His group preserves the rich heritage of Syrian wasla music, song, poetry, and dance, even as conflict in Syria continues. They’ve played Carnegie Hall—come see them at Fordham.
