AJCU DC Shrine Tour and Mass
Saturday, February 28, 10 a.m. – 12 p.m.
The Jesuit college and university alumni in Washington, D.C. are invited to participate in a Lenten tour of the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception, followed by a Mass in the Shrine’s Immaculate Heart of Mary Chapel. The tour will be led by Boston College alumnus Brian Cummins, who serves as a docent for the Shrine. The Mass will be offered by Tom Elitz, S.J., a Jesuit of the Jesuits East Province, who is currently a doctoral student at the Catholic University of America.
Tour: 10 to 11 a.m. (Please arrive by 15 minutes prior to departure; group will meet at the information desk on the ground level of the Shrine at the East Side entrance.)
Mass: 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. (Immaculate Heart of Mary Chapel is located in the lower level crypt of the Shrine.)
