The National Weather Service has issued a blizzard warning in the New York City area beginning at 6 a.m. on Sunday, February 22, and continuing until approximately 6 p.m. on Monday, February 23. More than a foot of snow is expected to accumulate, with the heaviest snowfall occurring overnight Sunday and into the day on Monday. Strong winds gusting up to 55 MPH are expected to create whiteout conditions, resulting in very low visibility, dangerous travel, and potential power outages.
Campus operations at Lincoln Center and Rose Hill will continue throughout the duration of the storm. In anticipation, we have already begun preparations and we will be making the following modifications to our normal operations:
Classes and Campuses
No in-person classes will be held at Rose Hill or Lincoln Center on Monday. Deans and instructors will contact their students with further information about alternative arrangements for classes affected by this announcement. Online classes will proceed as planned.
The Westchester campus and Calder Center will be closed, reopening on Tuesday, January 27.
All staff should plan to work remotely. Personnel who need to report to campus will be notified by their managers. Please contact your manager if you have any questions.
Campus Dining
Community Dining at Lincoln Center and the Marketplace at Rose Hill will be open on Sunday and Monday as scheduled.
