Summer has arrived in New York City, bringing an abundance of free outdoor festivities across the five boroughs. Here are five NYC events worth adding to your calendar this June.
1. The NYC Pride March
One of the world’s largest and most vibrant Pride celebrations returns to Manhattan this month. The city’s annual Pride March traces its roots to the 1969 Stonewall uprising and draws tens of thousands of marchers and spectators each year in a celebration of LGBTQ+ pride. Join the march, cheer from the sidelines, or check out other pride events throughout the month.

2. World Cup Watch Parties
To celebrate the 2026 World Cup, New York City is setting up free fan events around the city with live match broadcasts, interactive games, food from local vendors, and more. The festivities will be held in each borough and will culminate in a July 19 watch party in Central Park that’s expected to draw more than 50,000 fans.

3. Juneteenth in Van Cortlandt Park
Commemorate Juneteenth at Van Cortlandt Park with an afternoon of live music and cultural celebration. The annual event honors the emancipation of enslaved African Americans while highlighting the contributions and traditions of Black communities through musical performances and family-friendly programming.

4. Movies Under the Stars
Pack a blanket and head to your local park for Movies Under the Stars, NYC Parks’ annual series of free outdoor film screenings. More than 300 screenings are scheduled across the five boroughs this year, featuring family favorites, recent releases, and sports-themed films tied to the 2026 World Cup. Screenings take place throughout June and continue into the fall.

5. The Feast of Saint Anthony on Arthur Avenue
The Feast of Saint Anthony returns to Arthur Avenue this month, bringing live entertainment, religious processions, and Italian treats to the Bronx’s Little Italy. The multi-day street fair offers a chance to sample the Italian shops and restaurants that make Arthur Avenue famous.
