An epic story, centuries old, is getting all kinds of love. As Dave Carlin reports, the popularity of The Odyssey is being felt in movie theaters, bookstores, and libraries.
Matthew McGowan is a professor at Fordham University in the Department of Classics. “It doesn’t hurt that there are all sorts of strange characters there, mythological beings, and so forth, that I think have a kind of perennial interest, in particular for the young, and that’s why we see at Fordham, for example, so many more students signing up for our myth and literature courses,” McGowan explained.
