People Movers
Saturday, October 24, 3 – 6 p.m.

PEOPLE MOVERS is a free, all-ages afternoon of films, music, moving machines, and a ferry ride, presented by Flux Factory and co-presented by Fordham University. The program includes moving machines created by Fordham art students; a daxophone and electronics performance by Daniel Fishkin and Femi Shonuga-Fleming; and the premiere of Associate Professor Catalina Jordan Alvarez’s film Teleférico T.1, alongside short films by Sarah Ema Friedland and Fordham graduate student Tuong Bui. The afternoon concludes with a walk to the Hunters Point South ferry and a ride to 34th Street. Teleférico T.1 is the culmination of work supported by a Queens Art Fund New Work grant and a Fordham–NYU Research Fellow and Intern Program award. Free ferry tickets for Fordham students are sponsored by Fordham CCEL.
