NY Press Club-Fordham Annual Journalism Conference
Saturday, November 7, 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Join journalists, editors and media professionals for a day of discussion and practical training on the state of journalism, politics and the news business. The annual Fordham-New York Press Club Journalism Conference is a great way to learn about journalism today and make new professional contacts. The keynote, on Presidents vs. the Press, features Elie Mystal, legal commentator and justice correspondent for The Nation, and Harold Holzer, historian and author of The Presidents vs. The Press. The Plenary, “The Midterms Are Over—How Did the Media Do?” features Alec Hernandez of Politico and Kelly Mena of Spectrum News NY1, moderated by political journalist Azi Paybarah. The rest of the day includes speakers and workshops. The conference is free for Fordham students, faculty and staff but requires registration. Tickets for alumni and guests are $20-50.
