Dean McKay, Ph.D., ARTS AND SCIENCES, professor of psychology, was invited to the Nov. 17 Jewish Federation of North America’s General Assembly to participate in a panel titled “Antisemitism and Helping Professions.” He joined the executive director of the Brandeis Center and other leaders in the mental health professions. 

Cheretta Robson, CAREER SERVICES, senior associate director of the Career Center at Rose Hill, was selected as one of 28 speakers nationwide to present at the 2025 National Association of Colleges and Employers Career Competency Symposium on Nov. 13.

Robson delivered the session “From Promise to Practice: Integrating Career Readiness Through Fordham’s Internship Promise,” highlighting Fordham’s work to align academics, experiential learning, and NACE competencies to better support students.

She also received an award at the Fordham Career Center’s 20th annual Global Diversity and Inclusion Networking Banquet on Nov. 4 for her leadership, service, and student success support for underrepresented students.

Joshua Schrier, Ph.D., ARTS AND SCIENCES, Kim B. and Stephen E. Bepler Professor of Chemistry, published a paper titled “Exploring Materials Data Through Collaboration: 2024 KRICT ChemDX Hackathon” in the Journal of Materials Informatics on Nov. 19. The paper describes project outcomes and general observations gleaned from co-organizing an international materials data hackathon held in Daejeon, South Korea, from Nov. 5 to 8 with the Korea Research Institute of Chemical Technology (KRICT) and Yonsei University.

UNIVERSITY MARKETING AND COMMUNICATIONS received five American Graphic Design Awards from Graphic Design USA (GDUSA) for the following: Fordham Magazine’s 100 Years of Rose Hill Gym special edition within the Publications and Newsletters category; the 2024 Magic of the Season holiday video within the TV, Film, Video, Animation category; Fordham’s new brand identity within the Branding and Identity Programs category; Fordham’s 2025 out-of-home campaign (currently on display in Grand Central Terminal and public transportation in the metropolitan region) within the Advertising and Ad Campaigns category; and Fordham’s new environmental branding within the Signs and Environmental Graphics category.
