Yafan Chen, PhD, GRADUATE SCHOOL OF SOCIAL SERVICE, assistant professor of social work, recently received the 2026 Violence Against Women and Children Manuscript Award from the Council on the Role and Status of Women in Social Work Education. The award, which she will accept at the Council on Social Work Education’s Annual Program Meeting conference in October, recognizes outstanding scholarship of early-career scholars working in the area of violence against women and children in social work education.
Joseph Falco, PhD, ARTS AND SCIENCES, lecturer of psychology, participated in The College of New Jersey’s virtual panel discussion on “Relational, Family, and School-based Counseling Pathways” for graduate students in their Clinical Mental Health Counseling Online program on Aug. 20. Falco was invited as a panelist for his experience as a licensed marriage and family therapist (LMFT) and expertise working with couples; multicultural clients with intersecting identities; and queer and trans individuals, couples, and families.
Chinmayi Sharma, FORDHAM LAW SCHOOL, associate professor of law, was named to the inaugural cohort of the Top 50 Legal Innovators in Academia by The National Law Review and Wickard for her work designing the Fordham Law ACTech Challenge. Produced in partnership with the Atlantic Council, this law and technology challenge is a first-of-its-kind annual competition and curricular program focused on artificial intelligence and emerging technology governance.
