Judith Peck’s two-part sculpture series depicting families, which in-cludes works small enough to fit in a bread box and others large enough to fill an outdoor plaza, will be on display Nov. 4 to Dec. 18, 1999, and March 15 to Dec. 3, 2000, at the Lincoln Center campus, Fordham University.

The first exhibit of the series, “Diverse Expressions in Bronze,” includes a Holocaust memorial, as well as dozens of bronze and fiberglass abstract works by Peck, an art professor at Ramapo College in New Jersey. The second exhibit of Peck’s work, an outdoor show, includes 16 sculptures made primarily of fiberglass.

Vivienne Thaul Wechter, Ph.D., University artist in residence and curator of exhibitions and acquisitions, calls Peck an artist with “an exquisite mastery of com-munication” whose sculptures “recall Matisse’s drawings, where the line carries the weight, inner volume and strength.”
