Naomi Iizuka’s Polaroid Stories, inspired by Ovid’s Metamorphoses and interviews with young prostitutes and street kids, opened Fordham University Theatre Company’s Mainstage season on Thursday, Oct. 12. The production continues this week with performances in the Pope Auditorium, Lowenstein Center, onThursday, Oct. 19, Friday, Oct. 20 and Saturday, Oct. 21. The New York Times said of Iizuka’s play, “Greek gods are reincarnated as hustlers, prostitutes and addicts on a filthy city pier to confer a kind of epic grandeur on the degradation of life on the street.”
