On Saturday, Feb. 4, Fordham University’s Graduate School of Social Service co-sponsored the first academic conference on Hip Hop-based interventions and outcomes, “One Mic, One Movement: Advances in Hip Hop Therapy and Hip Hop Psychology.”

The conference keynote was delivered by Edgar Tyson, Ph.D., assistant professor of social work. The event attracted scholars, practitioners, students and musicians.
