1. Macy’s 4th of July Fireworks 

Nothing says summer in NYC like the iconic Macy’s 4th of July fireworks. Catch the show from rooftops, the Brooklyn Bridge, or any spot with a clear view of the skyline–just look up and enjoy the sparkly skies among the skyscrapers.

2. Lincoln Center Summer for the City 

Lincoln Center’s Summer for the City is giving you everything from comedy and concerts to dance parties–all just steps from our Lincoln Center campus. Now through August, enjoy many free and choose-what-you-pay cultural events that make your NYC summer feel oh so magical.

3. New York Botanical Garden: Van Gogh’s Flowers

Think giant sunflowers and starry nights with drone shows, music, and more. It’s like stepping into a painting in real life! You won’t want to miss it. Entry to the Garden grounds is free for Fordham students and staff with ID, though exhibit access requires a separate ticket. Prices vary.

4. Uptown Night Market

NYC’s favorite food festival is back! Uptown Night Market is lighting up West Harlem with global eats and live music. With over 50 food vendors to choose from, just make sure to come hungry! 

Held outdoors every second Thursday of the month through October, 2328 12th Ave., Manhattan

5. Rockaway Beach

Who says you can’t hit the beach in the city? The Rockaways have it all–waves, boardwalk snacks, and that perfect city escape feel. Make a day of it with your crew: cool off in the ocean, then head to the pickleball courts, baseball fields, or BBQ areas for even more fun in the sun.
