The week before Commencement, Ramses took a trip to the Empire State Building, which would soon be lit up in maroon to celebrate Fordham’s graduating class—the largest in the University’s history.

He surveyed the cityscape from a bench that was the perfect size.

From nearly 10 miles away, he tried to see his home in the Bronx.

The horizon was too hazy to see the Rose Hill campus, but he enjoyed a panoramic view of his Manhattan home at Lincoln Center.

On the other side of the Empire State Building, Ramses could see Queens, Staten Island, and even New Jersey.

The day before Commencement, he was excited to see the Empire State Building lit in maroon. What better way to see it than from the Top of the Rock?

He was amazed to see the city lit by thousands of lights—and Fordham’s proud maroon, shining in the center of it all.

After admiring the view, he took the subway to 34th St., where he found people cheering over the New York Knicks’ recent win—and soon-to-be graduates from Fordham, celebrating their last night before Commencement.

Ramses is so proud to be a Ram—and so proud of the historic Class of 2025.
