Alumni Chapter of Westchester: 2025 Sleepy Hollow Cemetery Tour

Sunday, October 26, 89 p.m.

540 North Broadway
Sleepy Hollow, NY 10591

The Alumni Chapter of Westchester invites alumni, parents, and friends, to get in the spooky spirit with an American Aristocrats evening tour of Sleepy Hollow Cemetery.

The Gilded Age began after the Civil War and ended around 1900. It was a time of tremendous industrialization and rapid economic growth. Railroads were built to connect the East Coast with the West, kerosene replaced whale oil and candles to light people’s homes, and steel production changed city skylines forever.

During the tour, “meet” some of the American Aristocrats who shaped our country with their ambitious visions and amassed sizable fortunes in the process. Visit the beautiful monuments of Henry Villard, William Rockefeller, Andrew Carnegie, and other interesting folks during this lantern tour in the north end of the 176-year old cemetery.

Please note: the route includes a hill and there is nowhere to sit down once the tour begins.

Information about a possible pre-tour meet-up is forthcoming. Please stay tuned.

Tickets are $35 each and 100% of the fee goes towards preserving the monuments and memorials at the cemetery. Space is limited, and registrations will be honored on a first-come, first-served basis. We encourage you to register early as this event will sell out. RSVP by October 24.

Please consider making a gift of $25 or more to support an area of your choice at Fordham.
