Book Presentation with Fordham’s Cynthia Vich

Cynthia Vich, PhD, professor of Spanish, will present her latest book, Lima en la Pantalla, in conversation with CUNY Emeritus Professor of History José Luis Enriqué, PhD, and Fordham’s Carl Fischer, PhD, professor of Spanish. Engaging with the changes in subjectivity, the social fabric, and the urban space of Lima since Peru’s integration into the global market, this book studies the different representations of the city and its subjects in a selection of Peruvian films made between 2000 and 2020.
