Fordham-New York Press Club Journalism Conference
Saturday, November 1, 8:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
Please join us for Fordham’s annual journalism conference, which we put on in cooperation with the New York Press Club. It’s free for members of the Fordham community including students, and there will be food, swag, workshops, lectures, and the chance to network with dozens of professional journalists. It’s a great day to celebrate the importance of journalism to our democracy.
The event starts with a continental breakfast from 8:30-9 a.m., followed by panel discussions and workshops. A keynote discussion with Guardian columnist and former New York Times Public Editor Margaret Sullivan begins at 1:15pm.
Panels include covering protests, immigration, and climate journalism. There will be students and young professionals from the New York area attending along with dozens of professional journalists. Speakers come from news organizations including The New York Times, The City, The New York Post, amNY, and WNYC Public Media.
All are welcome. The event is free for current Fordham students/faculty/staff. Please RSVP by clicking the Register button above. Others should register through the New York Press Club, where there is a small fee to cover breakfast and lunch.
