GSS Professional Development Workshop: Policy, Homelessness, and Foster Care
Saturday, October 26, 2019, 12:40 – 1:20 p.m.
A disproportionate number of young adults who transition out of foster care become homeless. This workshop will focus on the continuing evaluation of an innovative federally funded initiative that has been developed to address this issue in Westchester. Highlighted will be risk and protective factors, identified by a Fordham GSS research team, that are helping to inform the foster care/child welfare system’s consideration of new policy and program directions.
