How the Constitution Threatens the United States

This event will feature Erwin Chemerinksy, Dean and Jesse H. Choper Distinguished Professor of Law from the UC Berkeley School of Law, on themes in his new book, No Democracy Lasts Forever, as well as a response by Madiba Dennie, deputy editor and senior contributor at Balls and Strikes; and author of The Originalism Trap: How Extremists Stole the Constitution and How We the People Can Take It Back.
There will also be a panel discussion with Julie Suk, professor of law and The Honorable Deborah A. Batts Distinguished Research Scholar; Robert Hume, interim dean of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences and professor of political science at Fordham University, and John Davenport, professor of philosophy at Fordham University.
