IPED Lecture Series: The Bureau of International Security and Nonproliferation (ISN) and its Mission

Join us for the last IPED lecture of the spring semester. Joanna Gabryszewski, senior foreign affairs officer at the Bureau of ISN, and Sterling D. Tilley Jr., press team chief spokesman at the Bureau of ISN, will be presenting about the topic of international security and nonproliferation policies in the U.S.

Our two guest speakers will discuss:
·Civil service vs. foreign service careers
·What the ISN is, what the organization does, and its place in U.S. foreign policy with regard to nonproliferation
·Women in the State Department, specifically in security and nonproliferation portfolios and how things have advanced over the past few decades
·Minorities in the State Department, including how the ISN is expanding representation to look like America
