Partnerships in Social Work Education
Tuesday, March 6, 2018, 8:30 a.m. – 3 p.m.
The New York City Department of Education’s Office of Counseling Support Programs, the Fordham University Graduate School of Social Service (GSS), and the New York State School Social Workers’ Association, are proud to announce the New York City Department of Education’s third annual School Social Worker Conference, “Partnerships in Social Work Education” on Fordham’s Lincoln Center campus.
Partnerships between the DOE, universities, and professional organizations strengthen the social work profession and benefit the children and families served. Topics that will be covered in this year’s conference will include foster children in the public school system, the opioid crisis, and the benefits of M.S.W. internships with the DOE. Awards will be given and school social workers will be celebrated.
GSS is recognized by the Education Department’s State Board for Social Work as an approved provider of continuing education for licensed social workers (#0066).
Fordham University will be offering 4 free continuing education hours (CEH credits) toward social work licensure to those who attend this event.
A light breakfast will be served. Please plan to bring or purchase your own lunch.
