Swanstrom-Baerwald Award 2017

The biennial Swanstrom-Baerwald Award for Excellence recognizes members of the Fordham community who demonstrate stellar commitment to the service of faith and the promotion of international peace and justice.

This year, the award honors Elizabeth R. Pfifer, IPED ’08, the current Country Representative of Catholic Relief Services in Uganda.

The welcome will be delivered by the Reverend Joseph M. McShane, S.J., President, Fordham University. His Eminence Theodore Cardinal McCarrick, Archbishop Emeritus of Washington and Chair of Catholic Relief Services’ Foundation Board will perform the award conferral.

A reception will follow in the Keating Hall Rotunda.
