Martin J. Gruenberg, a member of the board of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) since 2005 (chairman from 2012 to 2018), will look at the impact of the Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) over the past 40 years and the future of the CRA in the years ahead.

The speech will be followed by a panel discussion on the ongoing importance of the CRA, especially in the field of community development, and the open request for comments on the Reforming the Community Reinvestment Act Regulatory Framework rule that has been issued by the Comptroller of the Currency.
