Webinar: “The Future of Humanitarian Aid” with Puji Pujiono

Wednesday, October 7, 12 – 1 p.m.

Puji Pujiono, PhD, will present the key findings from the study, “Future of Aid 2040: Pathways to Transformation,” conducted by the Inter-Agency Research and Analysis Network (IARAN) and the Centre for Humanitarian Leadership (CHL).

Implemented in two phases, the first phase is an exploratory phase to analyze the changes in the global context and aid system by 2040. The study gathered inputs from a diverse community of participants especially from historically underrepresented regions, in fact, among the nearly 900 participants, nearly 4 in 10 have lived experience of crises, resulting into a reframing of key debates and moving discussions beyond traditional aid paradigms. The study identifies 16 global drivers (e.g. climate change, geopolitical shifts, technological disruption) and nine aid-specific ones (e.g. donor dynamics, localization, ethical shifts) that will shape the aid system by 2040.

By the end of this webinar, participants will have gained perspectives on future aid scenarios gathered from a diverse community of participants especially from historically underrepresented regions and those affected by crises.
