SUMMARY:Revolutionary War Walking Tour: Celebrate 250 Years of American History
DESCRIPTION:Fordham alumni and friends are invited to join us for a special Revolutionary War Walking Tour as we celebrate the 250th anniversary of the United States! \nBefore it was a city of skyscrapers and subways\, New York was a gritty\, high-stakes battleground where patriots\, loyalists\, spies\, and soldiers crossed paths daily. \nLed by Justin Rivers ’01\, chief experience officer of Untapped New York\, this immersive walking tour steps back into the turbulent years of the American Revolution and traces the dramatic events that shaped the fate of a nation. With a Revolutionary War–era map in hand\, you’ll follow the route General George Washington took when he arrived to claim New York from the British—walking the very streets where strategy\, danger\, and history collided. \nThe tour will conclude at Fraunces Tavern with a complimentary drink with Rivers and fellow alumni.\n\nMeeting point: City Hall (the exact location will be shared with registrants) \nCost: $38 per person \nThis event is currently sold out. To be added to the waitlist\, please email dbada@fordham.edu

SUMMARY:Essential Insights Series: Will AI Replace Me?
DESCRIPTION:Essential Insights is a virtual learning series offered through the assistant provost for corporate relations and the Office of Alumni Relations\, created for professionals navigating a rapidly evolving world of work. \nWill AI Replace Me? Labor Trends and Your Unique Opportunity \nAs artificial intelligence reshapes the labor market\, many professionals are asking the same question: What does this mean for my career? This session explores how AI is changing jobs—not just eliminating tasks\, but redefining where human judgment\, creativity\, and discernment matter most. \nDrawing on economic data and real-world examples\, this session will examine current labor market trends\, the skills most resistant to automation\, and how professionals can position themselves for long-term relevance. Participants will leave with a clearer understanding of where human value lies in an AI-enabled economy and how to invest in skills that complement\, rather than compete with\, technology. \nSpeakers include: \nGiacomo Santangelo\, PhD\, professor of economics at Fordham\nMarc Valentin ’11\, FUAA Council Member and People Analytics Team Lead at UBS
