Fordham Libraries and Fordham's Center for Jewish Studies present the art of Siona Benjamin. As a Bene Israel Jewish woman from India now living in the United States, Siona Benjamin is a Jewish artist creating cross-cultural and transcultural art. Her perspective bridges the traditional and the modern and sparks discourse across cultures. Having grown up 
This exhibition explores the ways that exclusion affects minority groups in Western-dominant societies. It explores the ways in which Jews were excluded from European Christian-dominated society based on Christian notions of Jewish inferiority and the way Black people were excluded and marginalized in the United States and Europe based on race and association with slavery. 
This exhibit, featuring centuries-old books and manuscripts, explores Western interest in languages. At first, we try to situate the story of Babel in a non-Western context, highlighting non-European languages.
