SUMMARY:Team Trivia Night with the Fordham College Alumni Association
DESCRIPTION:Calling all Fordham alumni and friends for team trivia hosted by NPR’s George Bodarky (FCRH ’93)! \nJoin us to test your knowledge while getting together with fellow Fordham alumni over dinner at Ann & Tony’s on Arthur Avenue. Come with a team or on your own and join a group. (Teams can be two or more people.) \nQ: For whom was Arthur Avenue named? (See below for answer.) \nThe above will not be one of the questions posed at the event\, BUT there are lots more to which you can look forward. The trivia challenge\, prizes\, dinner\, beverages\, and we are thrilled to announce that the evening’s host will be NPR’s George Bodarky\, FCRH ’93 (known to many from his days at WFUV). \nThe cost is $50 for dinner (salad\, bread\, choice of one of five entrees\, soda/water\, and dessert\, with a cash bar) and a full night of trivia (three 10-question rounds and a final question\, with some pertinent to Fordham and its surroundings). And\, there will be prizes! \nWhy we charge admission: \nBecause the FCAA raises money to give it away. Each year we award a series of scholarships to students in need and students who have distinguished themselves academically and as individuals who exemplify the Jesuit ideal of “cura personalis.” \nTrivia answer: Arthur Avenue\, the restaurant-rich road in the Bronx\, is named for Chester A. Arthur\, 21st U.S. president. It was so named by Catherine Lorillard Wolfe\, a great-granddaughter of business magnate Pierre Lorillard (whose name also graces the name of a nearby street).
