DESCRIPTION:Ring in the holidays with alumni\, family\, and friends as the Alumni Chapter of Northern California enjoys an evening at Palio\, a modern Italian trattoria in downtown San Francisco. Our first priority is everyone’s health and safety\, so we are reserving a private dining room and all attendees must show proof of vaccination to remain compliant with San Francisco mandates. \nThe night begins with an optional cocktail hour at the Palio bar\, where drinks will be available for purchase. At 6 p.m.\, we will move to the private dining room to socialize and enjoy a three-course meal. Our dinner includes a salad appetizer followed by three entree choices of Dungeness crab pasta\, roasted chicken\, or grilled ribeye steak; finished with coffee\, cannolis\, and cookies for dessert. \nWe hope you will join us for cocktails\, dinner\, and the opportunity to see the tallest Christmas tree west of the Mississippi one block away on California Street. We look forward to safely celebrating the season with good friends! \nThe event costs $80 and includes a three-course dinner. Drinks are available for separate purchase. RSVP by December 7.

DESCRIPTION:We invite you to join us for our first-ever Fordham Alumni Book Club! We will be reading Lizzie & Dante by Mary Bly\, chair of the English department at Fordham University. Lizzie & Dante is an insightful\, audacious novel that received multiple rave reviews upon publication last June. People Magazine called it “delicious\,” and the Minneapolis Star Tribune described it as laced with poetry: “smart\, sexy\, and funny\, full of joy in simple pleasures.” \nThe book club will launch at Homecoming on Saturday\, October 9\, with an opportunity to meet the author and get your book signed. We will then meet for two one-hour\, moderated discussions on Zoom with Bly on Wednesday\, October 20\, and Wednesday\, November 10\, at 8 p.m. ET. Once you register\, you will receive a book club toolkit to guide your reading and the discussions. The event will take place on the rooftop terrace and adjoining inside event space at the Princeton Club of New York. \nRegister before September 20 to get the early bird price of $15\, which includes lite bites and an open bar. SUMMARY:Fordham Football at FAU: Pregame Tailgate
DESCRIPTION:This September\, Fordham athletics and the Office of Alumni Relations invites alumni\, family\, friends\, and all Fordham fans to join us in Boca Raton\, Florida\, as the Rams take on the Florida Atlantic Owls! \nJoin fellow Fordham fans on Saturday afternoon before Fordham plays Florida Atlantic. Our tailgate tent will be located on the lawn near the visitor entrance of FAU Stadium and will include a BBQ buffet\, beer\, wine\, and soft drinks. Attendees will be joined by Ed Kull\, director of athletics\, members of Fordham Athletics and the Office of Alumni Relations\, and Joe Conlin\, head football coach. Kickoff is at 6 p.m. \nPricing\nThe cost of the tailgate is $35 per person and includes a game ticket ($20 for children under 12). The cost of the tailgate only is $25 per person ($10 for children under 12). Advance registration is required. RSVP by September 10. \nInformation about ticket distribution is forthcoming.
