DESCRIPTION:The Office of Alumni Relations\, the Maroon Club\, and the alumni chapters of Charleston and Charlotte invite alumni\, family\, and all Fordham fans to a pregame tailgate before Fordham football takes on the Coastal Carolina Chanticleers. \nPricing \nThe cost of the tailgate is $65 per person ($55 for children younger than 12) and includes a game ticket and a BBQ buffet\, beer\, wine\, and soft drinks. The cost of the tailgate is $35 per person ($25 for children younger than 12). Game tickets will be distributed electronically to the primary registrant’s email address. \nAdvance registration is required. RSVP by September 6. \nParking/Directions \nParking is available in Lot GG\, adjacent to where the tailgate will take place\, starting at $29. We suggest purchasing parking in advance as prices will increase on game day. \nPlease note: Convenient shuttle service is available from the Select Lot\, about a five minute walk from our tailgate location. If you prefer to walk\, the stadium is about 0.8 miles (approx. 20-minute walk) from Lot GG. \nPlease consider making a gift of $25 or more to support an area of your choice at Fordham. SUMMARY:Overview of the New York State Medical Aid in Dying Law
DESCRIPTION:Completion of this class will result in the receipt of two and one-half (2.5) continuing education hours. \nThe first class in this series will introduce New York Public Health Law Article 28-F (effective 8-5-26)\, the recently enacted New York State statute that legalizes medical aid in dying (MAID). The New York State Bar Association MAID Task Force history and final report and recommendations will be reviewed\, and a snapshot of experience in other states where medical aid in dying has been legalized will be provided. Key provisions of the MAID law will be delineated\, including who is a qualifying patient under the law; the steps of the request process; the mandatory mental health evaluation; and institutional policy development. The place of MAID in the palliative and end-of-life care continuum will also be explicated\, and recommendations for the design and dissemination of interprofessional MAID education and training discussed.
