The Graduate School of Social Service celebrated “Hip Hop Week” at the Tarrytown campus by offering Hip Hop Non-Stop Cultural Sensitivity Training on Saturday, Oct. 21. Eric Carver, MSW, a social work supervisor from the State of Connecticut Department of Children and Families, gave a presentation aimed at “increasing the awareness of the gap that exists in the professional application of the social work ethic and its underlying value system to achieve successful outcomes with urban communities.”
