Judith M. Kubicki, C.S.S.F., Ph.D., A&S,
assistant professor of theology, was elected vice president of the North American Academy of Liturgy at its annual meeting in January. She will assume the presidency of the organization in January of 2008.

Joseph G. Ponterotto, Ph.D., A&S,
professor of counseling and coordinator of the Mental Health Counseling Program, has been selected to receive the Janet E. Helms Award for Mentoring and Scholarship by Teachers College, Columbia University.

Brian Rose, Ph.D., A&S,
professor of communication and media studies, conducted a series of one-on-one interviews with Sacha Baron Cohen, writer and star of Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan; Wendy Finerman, producer of The Devil Wears Prada; and Bill Nighy, who was featured in Notes on a Scandal. The interviews were part of the New York Times sixth annual Arts Leisure Weekend in January.
