Though it may take several weeks to fully understand the implications of the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision to return Fisher v. University of Texas to the lower court, for the moment it appears that Fordham’s policies will remain unchanged.
Regardless of the eventual decision, Fordham remains committed to diversity in its student body, faculty, and staff, and committed to maintaining access to higher education and fostering success for students of modest means. The University will of course act in accordance with federal and state law while maintaining its historic role in educating the sons and daughters of immigrant families.
