Law Dean Honored By Irish Historical Society

John D. Feerick, dean of the Fordham University School of Law, was honored as the 1999 Gold Medalist of the American Irish Historical Society. Feerick is a nationally-recognized mediator and one of the authors of the 25th Amendment to the Constitution, which set new rules for presidential succession after the assassination of President John F. Kennedy. Previous Gold Medalists include former President Ronald Reagan, Gov. Hugh Carey, AFl-CIO President John J. Sweeney and John Cardinal O’Connor. Founded in 1841, Fordham is New York City’s Jesuit University. It has residential campuses in the north Bronx and Manhattan, and academic centers in Tarrytown and Armonk, NY.
