NEW YORK—Fordham University’s Avery Cardinal Dulles, S.J., will present his spring McGinley lecture titled “How Real is the Real Presence?” on Tuesday, Feb. 15, at 8 p.m. in the Leonard Theater of the Fordham Preparatory School on the Rose Hill campus. According to Catholic teaching, Christ’s presence in the Eucharist is true, real and substantial. The lecture will attempt to interpret these terms and dispel certain misconceptions.
Cardinal Dulles is the Laurence J. McGinley Professor of Religion and Society at Fordham University. In 2001, he became the first American theologian to be named a cardinal.
