The Department of Natural Sciences and Dean’s Office at Fordham College at Lincoln Center will host an undergraduate research fair at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 13 in the Lowenstein Plaza on the Lincoln Center campus.
On display will be posters from 18 students who collaborated on research with faculty advisers from Fordham and other universities in the New York City area. In addition, five students will present abstracts developed from a recent biotechniques class under the direction of Mary Hamilton, Ph.D.
The poster session will be followed by an awards ceremony at 12:30 p.m. in the Lowenstein cafeteria atrium.
Each student presenting a poster or abstract will receive a certificate for participation. In addition, the natural sciences department will give performance awards in four disciplines: general biology, general chemistry, general physics and organic chemistry. The awards are based on overall academic performance throughout the year.
