Count Bill Herman, PhD, as one of the skeptics of the FBI’s recent demand that Apple provide a way for the bureau to hack into the iPhone of Syed Rizwan Farook, one of the gunmen in the December 2015 San Bernadino shootings.
Herman, a Gabelli School of Business assistant professor of communications and media management, researches the policy, politics, and political uses of digital technologies. He blogged about the subject for the London School of Economics, and was subsequently picked up by Newsweek.
