ANDREW SULLIVAN ON FRIENDSHIP
NEW YORK—Fordham University will host a lecture titled “Friendship: The Forgotten Relationship” by political and social commentator Andrew Sullivan on Wednesday, Oct. 6, at 7 p.m. in McNally Amphitheatre at the School of Law on the Lincoln Center campus.
Sullivan, an essayist for Time magazine and a columnist for the Sunday Times of London, will discuss the changing ideals of friendship throughout history. Sullivan, the author of Virtually Normal: An Argument About Homosexuality (Vintage Books, 1996), will also offer his insight into the distinctive gifts of homosexual friendships. Sullivan is the editor of andrewsullivan.com and the former editor-in-chief of The New Republic magazine.
The lecture will be hosted by Fordham College at Lincoln Center, the Francis and Ann Curran Center for American Catholic Studies, the Office of the University Chaplain and the Department of Theology.
