Author Mary Higgins Clark (FCLC ’79) returns to Fordham onTuesday, March 4 to present the Campus Activities Board’s American Age Lecture. The event is part of Fordham Week, a celebration of the University’s unique identity.
Higgins Clark will speak on “Life After Fordham,” recapping her personal and professional successes, as well as her service on the University’s Board of Trustees from 1990 to 1996. The lecture will begin at 5:30 p.m. in Keating Hall on the Rose Hill campus. A reception will follow in the Keating Rotunda.
Known as the “Queen of Suspense,” Higgins Clark is the author of 24 mystery and suspense novels that have sold more than 80 million copies in the U.S. Two of her novels, Where Are the Children? (Simon & Schuster, 1975) and A Stranger Is Watching(Simon & Schuster, 1977), were made into feature films and several others have been adapted for television.
Fordham Week is presented annually by the United Student Government. This year’s theme is “Hottest Catholic School,” in recognition of Fordham’s distinction as one of the “25 Hottest Schools in America” by the editors of Kaplan/Newsweek’s 2008 How to Get Into College Guide.
