Business professionals representing ethics, compliance, risk management, communications, human resources and learning and development came together on June 18 and 19 for The Forum on Building a Trustworthy Organization.

The two day long interactive workshop was a joint presentation by the Consortium for Trustworthy Organizations at Fordham and The Conference Board, at the Conference Board’s Midtown offices.

In a series of workshops such as How do Ethics and Compliance people and Programs Operate in High Trust Companies, and Embedding a Culture of Trust: Moving from Tone at the Top to Behavior in the Middle, participants focused on building organizations that can innovate and achieve performance goals while increasing reputational capital with employees, customers, investors and regulators.

Speakers leading the workshop sessions represented a vast array of businesses, including Barclays, IBM, G.E., Lockheed Martin, Towers Watson, Novartis, and Deloitte & Touche LLP.

The Consortium for Trustworthy Organizations at Fordham was founded by Robert Hurley, Ph.D., professor of management in the Fordham schools of business, and author of The Decision to Trust: How Leaders Create High-Trust Organizations (Jossey-Bass, 2011).
