From the Office of the Vice President for Administration:
Dear Members of the Campus Community:
Here are this week’s five things you need to know about Fordham’s COVID-19 precautions and University operations this fall:
- In the period from October 19 through November 1, seventeen people in the University community tested positive for COVID-19 (positive cases continue to be almost exclusively among students living off campus).
- We remind you that in-person classes will end on the eve of the Thanksgiving break, and will not resume until February 1. The full details are here.
- The combination of classes, work, the upcoming holidays, and the strain imposed by eight months of living with the pandemic can leave you anxious, fatigued, and overwhelmed. The New York City Department of Health offers some tips to cope.
- New York state announced a new protocol allowing out-of-state travelers to “test out” of the state’s mandatory 14-day quarantine. Read more about the state’s new guidelines.
- “Masks Work. Really. We’ll Show You How.” Explore this feature from the New York Times.
