Monika Mroczkowski, a senior in the College of Business Administration, died at Bellevue Hospital Center on Wednesday, March 3, from a sudden illness.
“Our hearts go out to Monika’s family and friends, and to the CBA community, at this terrible loss,” said Joseph M. McShane, S.J., president of Fordham University. “Monika’s death is deeply upsetting, especially so given her youth and promise. Her family and friends will need our support, support I know the University family offers unstintingly. Please join me in praying for Monika, and her loved ones in their hour of grief.”
Mroczkowski was taken ill at her apartment in Brooklyn on Monday, March 1. Though she was rushed to the hospital immediately, doctors were unable to revive her. She died on Wednesday night, surrounded by her family. She is survived by her parents, Bogdan and Janina Mroczkowski, brother Robert Mroczkowski, and other family members.
