A new morning news show from the Fordham campus premieres on Tuesday, Jan. 30 at 9 a.m. on the University’s closed-circuit cable station, Channel 10, broadcast live to the Fordham community from the William D. Walsh Family Library and available live on streaming video.

The show, Fordham Mornings, Live, will model itself after network morning news shows, carrying both features and serious news items, and will feature student announcers, according to producer and moderator Matthew Schottenfeld, production manager for EIC-TV studios at Fordham University.

“It is going to be a lighter show, with a bit of news and views,” Schottenfeld said. “We’re hoping to have it up and running daily within two weeks.”

The morning show joins its counterpart, The Fordham Nightly News, in creating a regularly broadcast show from campus featuring coverage of local and international news, sports and weather. The nightly news show currently broadcasts three evenings per week, Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. Both programs are produced through Fordham University Libraries’ EIC Studios and are webcast on the Fordham website.
